WorkFlow Learning Essentials Workshops

  • 7 May 2026
  • Online and in English

A live, multi-session, online workshop series on workflow learning, performance support, and the 5 Moments of Need® methodology.

Build a practical foundation in workflow learning and performance support through three interactive online workshops.

This series introduces a modern approach to learning design — one that focuses on real work, real tasks, and real performance needs, rather than traditional courses or curricula.

Across the sessions, you will explore how learning and support can be designed directly around real tasks and workflows, and how AI-driven analyses can accelerate this design process. You will gain practical tools and principles that enable you to start applying workflow learning in your organisation – even if you are at an early stage and do not yet have specialised technology or a formal workflow learning strategy in place.

What you will learn

During this workshop series, you will:

  • Understand the 5 Moments of Need® methodology and how it enables learning and support in the flow of work.
  • Learn to analyse real work and workflows, instead of designing learning based on assumptions, courses, training or curricula.
  • Explore AI-driven analysis examples and understand how they support learning design decisions.
  • Learn the principles behind the AI Designer approach, so you can apply the same thinking later in your own projects — with or without technology.
  • Gain practical tools to start small and gradually build workflow learning within your organization.

Key themes & foundations

🔍 Task Analysis
Break down real work into tasks and decision points, revealing where learning, guidance, or performance support is truly needed.

🚨 Critical Task Analysis
Identify highrisk, highimpact, and businesscritical tasks and use these for focused, effective workflow learning design.

🤖 AI Driven Analyses
Explore concrete examples of AIpowered task and critical task analysis revealing the underlying principles, enabling you to apply the same thinking later — with or without AI tools.

🧭 Designing Performance Support in the Workflow
Translate analysis insights into performance support solutions that fit seamlessly into the flow of work – reducing reliance on formal training.

What you will take away

By the end of the series, you will have:

  • A solid understanding of workflow learning and the 5 Moments of Need® methodology
  • A clear understanding of task and critical task analysis
  • Insight into how AI can support learning design — and how to apply the same principles independently in your organisation
  • Practical tools to begin applying workflow learning within your organisation immediately

Who should attend

This workshop series is designed for professionals who want to improve workplace performance by enabling learning in the flow of work, including:

  •  L&D professionals and learning designers
  • Managers and team leaders
  • Performance and capability specialists

No prior experience with workflow learning, the 5 Moments of Need® methodology, or AI is required.

The workshops are designed to be accessible and highly relevant, even if you are just beginning your workflow learning journey or do not yet have a dedicated technology in place.
